Quarterly Top 5

It was so hard to pick this quarter. This summer was busy....

Music Camp is always a highlight of our summer. Here is my daughter with Jessi and Jenni two of the best counselors and two of the best friends you could ever have.

Isaac was happy to be "official" staff this year.

August was our church youth camp. It was a blast hanging with all these kids.

My daughter has been going to Miss A's house for the past four years twice a month to help around the house and play with her two little boys. In August she had her third boy. This is their first meeting.

My son came back from camp and caught a pretty bad cough and cold which lasted forever. His friends brought by some soup and a movie to help him feel better. (I didn't actually take this one, my daughter did and she forgot to check the settings so I had to really bump this up in light room.)

Quarterly Top 5 (April-June)

Sad to say I didn't take any pictures of my kids in April. I don't know how that happened. I took pictures but somehow none of them included my kids.

May

My baby turned 14. I had to bribe her with Starbucks to convince her to do a photoshoot =)

My son hanging with some of his friends at a local coffee shop. Friends of ours were having a fundraiser for their missions trip to Haiti.

June

Summer basketball is here again. I love hanging with my son (top right) and all these boys.

My kids had friends over for a worship night. It was so fun to sit and listen to all these teens play, sing and worship. (My son is on the left playing e guitar and my daughter is on the far left playing her violin)

My Quarterly Top 5

January
My son won his starting position back after being out 6 weeks with a broken fibula. I honestly didn't know how he was going to be able to play again. First game back as a starter, he wins the tip.

February

Both my kids were baptized

Hannah, playing the violin, played in an all 13 year old worship band. They did an excellent job.

We played the GC Gators in November to start our basketball season. Our boys have been playing the Gators since middle school and have never won. The Gators have always won in the last few minutes of the game.  Our final regular game of the season was scheduled against the Gators. We finally won! I know the picture is blurry, probably because I was screaming and jumping up and down in the stands as I took it, but I wouldn't delete this one for the world.

Quarterly Top 5

July: my son, on the right with the e-guitar, led youth worship for the first time

August: Our Church's First Annual Youth Camp

August: Visiting family in San Diego

September: Surprise 15th Super-hero birthday party for our friend Justin, Spiderman
My son is the Joker and my daughter is Rogue from X-men

September: My nephew Adam Class of 2012.
(I know he is not my child, but I was there 2 days after he was born. We moved our family across the country so we could be closer to the cousins. And my sister and I traded history and science teaching, so I homeschooled him for years in history)

Quarterly Top 5

April
After helping friends with their Senior Slideshows I realized how few pictures I had of my 2 kids by themselves (without cousins, other family or friends). So I decided to shoot a couple after my daughters birthday party. Of course there was a lot of laughter and silliness.

 May
We went with friends to our State Holocaust Museum.  During our tour they took us to the gas chamber, shut all the doors and told us of the horror the people experienced.

May
My son and some friends playing guitar at a youth group block party.

June
Basketball, how I have missed you. My son is in blue waiting to get the jump ball that was thrown very one sided. We should have known the game was going to be called the same way =)
June
After saving for 2 years my daughter finally had enough to buy her new AE violin. She just loves it.
