Twenty One Years

Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be a mom when I grew up. Twenty-one years ago today that dream became a reality when my first-born Isaac was born.

45/52 San Diego and Alumni Game

It was my mom's birthday this week so Hannah and I decided to fly out to San Diego and celebrate with her.
We paid a visit to my grandma and went out for mani/pedis and lunch with the birthday girl.

My grandmother has Alzheimers and doesn't know who I am.
It has been touch and go,  so  I'm glad I got to see her one more time.

I took pictures of my sister's family while we were there.
Robbie had quite enough by this picture. I love 7 year olds!

We flew back on Tuesday just in time for Isaac's Alumni game.
It was so good to see him on the court  again.

12/52 2014

I haven't had time to search through my camera for a better picture but this poor quality ipad picture is close to my heart . The boys decided to forgo all of their awards for the season and name me the MVP of the Varsity Boys. Love them

11/52 2014

I have been putting writing this post. I didn't want it to become real, so as long as I didn't post about it, it really wasn't over, right?

Week 11 is not about one picture, or one day or one week.  Week 11 is about 9 seasons coming to an end.  On March 15, 2014, my son played his last day of high school basketball at the East Coast Homeschool Basketball Championship. We have attended the ECHBC for the last 4 years. I did not take as many pictures this year as I have in the past. As much as I wanted to document, I also wanted to enjoy his last games.

I will miss watching him play, his never give up attitude and how he plays 110% until the last second of every game.

I will miss him defending his goal....

 I will miss him scoring...

I will miss him winning the tips...

I will miss watching him fight for possession of loose balls...

Praying after their last game and victory

The people we have walked with these last nine seasons are some of my closest friends and dear to my heart.

Being the AD for the last three seasons  and the team mom for all nine seasons has brought us closer than I could imagine. I will miss our late night debriefing chats after the games.

I want to thank my Cougar family for all the memories, all the road trips, hours and days sitting in the stands, for the support you showed our teams. I've had the time of my life with you.

4/52 2014

Love going to this little friends basketball game! They were all so cute running around, putting their hands up on defense and shooting the ball. I miss watching my kiddos playing sports when they were this little. He was wearing my favorite number in basketball too!
