PW Assignment Brothers

Pioneer Woman's current assignment is "Brothers". Brothers come in the form of all different people...

Brothers come in the form of cousins...

Teammates...

Best Friends (especially those that make you laugh)...

and yes, even brothers that you are siblings with...

They are the ones you cheer on, encourage, support and comfort.

Thank you God for brothers!

Sisters

Pioneer Women Photography had a photo contest last week. The theme was "Sisters".  Here are the photos I entered.

My daughter and her cousin Lydia. My daughter was only 3 years old when Lydia was born and present at her birth. We moved across the country when Lydia was four months old to be closer.  We don't get to see each other as much as we would like, but we try and make those times special. This was taken on a date to our local tea house.

Every summer my daughter has a summer book club. She and her friends read a book during the summer and then get together to have tea and discuss the book. These girls are much more than friends, they are sisters at heart.

My friends Jessi and Jenni are twins and best friends. They both love to sing, write, and play music. Every year their family holds a summer camp where they teach music, singing and dancing. I am so glad to have them in my life as well as in my children's lives.

Connection

I took some pictures of the Hunt Family during a recent concert. The family of 9, parents, set of twin girls and 5 boys, put on an amazing show. They play a mixture of original pieces, fiddle, Irish and bluegrass.  I did not intend to take pictures that focused on their connection as a family but it was hard to miss.

Obviously something was going on that made them burst out laughing.
